Today we went rafting in Moab,UT. The Colorado river was brown and our guide said,"It's OK. It's a chocolate river, like in Willy Wonka." We saw a river otter and the guide said he only saw them about once a month. We also saw Mud Swallows(and baby Mud Swallows!). We went through four rapids(Josh didn't like that). The waves made the raft go up and down a lot. There was a small wave so I said,"That wasn't a very big wave". As soon as I said that a very big wave came and soaked me to the skin. Everybody got wet.(Except Steve) My shoes were full of water and it wasn't comfortable to walk. The best part was when the waves moved us up and down. Josh even said it "wasn't that bad".

OK...everyone's cameras survived, right? Good!!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you ladies -and Josh - survived/enjoyed the rafting.
I had to go back yesterday and read ALL the comments I've been missing all along. Sounds like one of our godsons is being harassed!!
How's your lemonade supply holding out? Every time we get hot, ie: every time we step outside, Gianna wants lemonade!! Actually, today for the first time all week that it's tolerable outside. Unfortunately for Victoria, today was Bob's daughter's (name escapes me) party, so I'm sure it happened (no rain date when Victoria is available)
We bought a microscope last weekend...tested it out today. I think you ladies will have fun with it. Don't know if there are any specimens to bring home to look at with it...
Well, back to some cleaning.
Love, Mom
We still have 5 things of lemonade left. We always have some made in the frige. It's like we have a never ending supply oI'm suprised its been so hot there. We will try to bring something home to look at through the microscope. See you in a week.
ReplyDeleteFrom what I've heard and read, when the Colorado is muddy, it means it's healthy. When we saw the Colorado in between the two dams, it was beautiful and clear; but, sadly, that's not the way it's supposed to be...
