After dinner, we headed further south to follow the scenic route through Jerome (a city on the side of a mountain - very pretty, very steep) and then the rest of the way was dark (kind of like the Painted Desert, which somebody painted black).
We stopped in a lovely trailer park in Seligman for the night. They had nice bathrooms.
The bathrooms rated high, but we were right next to the train tracks. I'd estimate a train every 10 minutes all night long. Thank goodness for white noise from the fan.
ReplyDeleteYou guys should post a map of your exact route when you get back, using Google maps or something. It would be pretty cool. Did you make it to the North Rim yet? Or is that still coming?
ReplyDeleteWe were at the North Rim today. We saw a message at the overlook on the way to Jacob Lake. It said "bag wolves". I knew it was an anagrammed message from you, Jason. It says "Blog waves". So here's a wave to you from our blog...Hi!
